Fremont, Calif. – Digitron Electronics, a leading supplier of display electronics, announced that it will introduce energy-efficient Lunasea Lighting™, the world's most advanced lighting products for marine environments, at the upcoming Strictly Sail Pacific, Jack London Square, Oakland, California, April 18-22. Lunasea staff will be on hand in tent A, booth 422 to showcase their line of advanced lighting solutions, which includes the industry's first microprocessor-controlled circuitry that utilizes cold-cathode fluorescent lighting (CCFL) technology. Lunasea's CCFL lights deliver more light with less power than any marine CFL fluorescent available today. In addition to CCFLs, Lunasea offers the newest in LED technology – ultra-cool looking, super bright, halogen-emulating LED lights – the smart answer to today's energy-draining halogen bulbs.
Solid-state lighting is finding its place in a variety of new applications and Lunasea Lighting is leading the way. Lunasea's microprocessor-controlled cold-cathode fluorescent lighting technology is the first to incorporate 100% digitally dimmable fluorescent tubes with a brightness memory function. Traditional fluorescent lights require expensive electronics to allow dimming capabilities. At best the dimming range is mediocre and requires additional wiring, coupled with the fact that they are often not aesthetically pleasing.
Lunasea fluorescents can be digitally dimmed using a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) as low as 5%. This means lights can be adjusted to meet lighting needs while saving energy and batteries. CCFLs turn on much faster in cold weather then traditional fluorescents and produce less heat when operating. Traditional Compact Fluorescent Lamps, known as CFLs, are energy efficient but CCFLs are much smaller in size; CCFL technology is used in the latest LCD monitors.
Lunasea LEDs also include new features and functionality, such as built in dimming, high brightness comparable to halogen, and sleek form factors that were simply not possible before. LED technology is more efficient then traditional lighting and impervious to vibration. Lunasea LED-based lights utilize the best and newest technology available today. Color temperature matches that of halogen lights (3050K Warm White), or bright white (4700K Daylight White). The 3050K Warm White delivers up to160 lumens from a single point. Enhanced red and orange color spectrum and a CRI of 80 make Lunasea LEDs ideal for incandescent and halogen replacements. The Daylight White delivers a brilliant 200 lumen output, which make the LED ideal for task applications. Lunasea's LED light engines comply with the recent European RoHS Hazardous Substance Directive.
Every Lunasea Lighting product is environmentally friendly and feature up to 50,000-hours of tube life. Lunasea's state-of-the-art design systems are easy to install, and easy to upgrade. Lunasea lights are designed to exacting standards using only the highest quality components.
